Weekend 2: Skiing

Remind me never again to answer by impulse to any e-mail..

Ehm
Another Ryanscare experience, last flight.
Cri & Max were ready at the airport, 1 1/2 hours later ...SNOW.
Well I was only supposed (to blow the bloody doors off) to go to spend some time with Cri and sit on a chair sunbathing, go nowhere near skis as I had just spent the entire morning to the neurosurgeon and to an amazing doctor which electrecuted every single muscle and nerve of my left arm.
Shaking apart... I was there and the day after I skied all day, without even falling..Yay..
The night a sledge came to pick us up to deliver us on top of the mountain for an amazing dinner, where highlights were la potenta

& la grolla dell'amicizia "the vase of friendship??" I wanted to get one for the community, in Tuscany would have been perfect.. but I had no luck.
It's filled with coffee VoV ( the egg liqueur) Whisky and Brandy and it's very hot. The rim is covered with sugar, which you lit and the caramelised substance works as glue for the top.
Once you start you are not supposed to put it down unless it's empty.

Here you go, you drink, you turn it, you pass it... Lady V will be an athlete at this game. They could substitute curling with it.

What you rather do, sweep the floors professionally or drink and socialise.. Anyway... another of those sport which English are good at. ( ah! let's not forget darts!)
And now... have a look at the fashion of the locals.

then back to Turin for a bit of sightseeing with Cicero-Cri while Max was preparing dinner.
At least 2 people from my home town became famous: Antonello & Juvarra, still they had to leave. Anyway I don't think the city has changed that much in all this time.. apart from the Eiffel tower that now illuminates the sea. (Gina's TM)

Thank you Cri & Max for being such wonderful hosts.
Thanks to Max I also discovered the dynamics of little model cars.. cool
& a new system for hanging pictures to the wall. ( well yes.. when I get round to it)
