What do you really believe?

Do you think what you think you think ? Well, how could you not? Your beliefs might be right and they might be wrong, but surely you must at least know what they are? Think again.
Being mistaken about our own true beliefs is common and self-delusion is sometimes necessary.
As TS Elliot wrote, 'Humankind cannot bear very much reality". However none of us would like to think we are serial reality dodgers. Indeed, although we commonly find ourselves hiding from the truth, we often also choose to confront it even if we know it will make life more difficult to us. NO TENSIONS Your opinion on the issues we asked you about are totally consistent.

1-2 TENSIONS You seem to be an admirably consistent thinker, if not enterily so.

3-5 TENSIONS Like most people, your opinions probably don't hang together as well as they might

6+ TENSIONS You're either an incredibly subtle thinker or a mass of contradictions.

In total there are 15 tensions, if you would like a precise explanation, please ask. Too long and unfortunately there isn't a weblink for it.

TENSION N.10 explained:
Is the unnatural wrong?

The connection between these 2 statements (i.e. 10 and 25) may not be obvious.
Most people believe that sanitation and medicines are good. But aren't they unnatural? What is natural about sewage system and the domenistic supply of clean water? What is natural about chemotherapy or other medical treatemnts? So the problem here is that it is simply not true that most people think all things unnatural are bad. If you believe homosexuality to be unnatural, that is no reason for it to be wrong.
