Not necessarily. There's been Equal Pay legislation in the UK since 1973, and yet, strangely, men are still paid more than women.
But I'm feeling grumpy about Obama's new deal -- did you notice how "the new measure also applies to those who seek redress for pay discrimination based on race, religion, disability or age".
Can anyone spot the group which is *not* protected by this new legislation...? Anyone...?
